The burden basket can help your mental health
Many people put off asking for counselling/therapy because they are not sure how it can make a difference. Consider some of these questions that may help your decision...
- When you feel therapy would be beneficial, where do you go?
- What would it be like if your problem never got better?
- If you were to be worried about your child, do you think you would act on it?
- As you feel concerned about your child can you feel your own well-being being affected?
- How could outcome measures and setting goals help you get back on track quicker?
- Would it be easier to use self help, computerised therapy or online individual therapy?
It is surprising how helpful talking things over can be. Do not give up because you and your child/family ARE worth it. There is ALWAYS hope.
