Aims
To introduce the theory of attachment and the impact early life experiences can have on children’s development, emotional health and relationships.
Objectives:
- To highlight the range of attachment types and how children develop particular strategies to ensure their needs are met.
- To demonstrate how these strategies become a blueprint for relationships and the importance of adopting new patterns of engaging with others and building positive self-perceptions.
- Explore the PACE, therapeutic parenting and emotion coaching models, as approaches that facilitate the development of new strategies, emotional connections and positive relationships.
- Consider how to incorporate PACE into caring/teaching children.
Useful Information:
Arrive shortly after 9.00am for a 09.30am start, aim to finish by 1300. Refreshments will be provided. Lunch/Snacks is “bring your own”, there are shops nearby in the town. There is free parking:
