The Hope Project invites you to an essential 4-day training program, “Understanding and Supporting the Mental Health of Children and Young People.” This isn’t just a course; it’s an investment in your ability to make a lasting, positive impact. Move beyond theory and learn practical, evidence-based strategies to help young people navigate the complexities of their mental and emotional worlds.
Transform Your Approach Across Four Days:
- Day 1 (16 Sept): The Foundations of Mental Health
- Gain a core understanding of mental health, risk and resilience, trauma, anxiety, low mood, and hyperactivity. Begin your journey into “what helps.”
- Day 2 (30 Sept): Communicating with Compassion
- Learn how to confidently discuss self-harm and suicide. Master powerful techniques like emotion coaching and active listening to connect with distressed young people.
- Day 3 (14 Oct): Building a Supportive Network
- Discover strategies for effectively engaging with parents and families. Learn to use professional tools to evidence outcomes and record your vital interventions.
- Day 4 (21 Oct): Sustainable Support & Self-Care
- Focus on the importance of endings in therapeutic support, your own wellbeing as a professional, and the crucial role of ongoing supervision and development.
